Veteran South Korean actor Lee Yoon Hee, known for his work in Save Me (2017), Taxi Driver (2021), and Song of the Bandits (2023), among others, breathed his last on Saturday, January 11, according to his spokespe🤪rson. He🌟 was 64.
Lee Yoon Hee’s agency Beom Entertainment released a statement mourning the death of the actor. They offered de✃ep condolences to the grieving family, ''who has fallen into deep sorrow because of this sudden trag🦄ic news, as well as everyone else who loves and cares for actor Lee Yoon Hee and is saddened by this news.”
The statement further read: “Lee Yoon Hee contributed to popular culture for many years as an actor, an✃d he is a precious person who has received love from many people. His absence is a great loss to us all. Lee Yoon Hee has delivered sincere acting and warmed hearts through his many roles. BEOM Entertainment will cherish Lee Yoon Hee’s warm memory and achievements for a long time, and we wil♋l do our utmost so that the value of his life can be honoured and remembered. Once again, we send our deep blessings to the departed as he makes his final journey''.
Who was Lee Yoon Hee?
Born in 1960, Lee Yoon Hee is known for his decades-long contribution to the theatre as well as films. He started his career from theatre and then made foray into films. His first play was There’s Soup. In 2007, he starred in the movie Secret Sunshine, starring Song Kang Ho and Jeon Do Yeon.
Yoon Hee also featured in Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time, Backstreet Rookie, Miracle in Cell No. 7, Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area - Part 1, Save Me Season 2, and several other K-dramas.
He made guest appearance in Song of the Bandits, The First Responders, Shadow Detective, The Beauty Inside, Doctor Lawyer, Moving, Taxi Driver, and Mr Sunshine among others. His last performances were in Captivating the King, starring Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung, and the Netflix thriller series The Bequeathed.
Lee Yoon Hee’s funeral will reportedly take place on January 13 at 8:00 a.m. KS𝓡T at Ulsan Sky Park.
