ꦦMumbai police has launched an investigation after it received mails threatening to blow up Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's car,

ꦿAs per a PTI report, a police official stated that the mails threatening to bomb Shinde's car were received at Goregaon and J J Marg police stations.

♌"The IP address of the sender is being tracked. All angles are being probed," the official informed.

𝓡Apart from the emails, a senior Mumbai police official told PTI had a threat call had been received as well.

꧟Last month, an FIR was registered against a 26-year-old in Thane for reportedly threatening to harm Shinde.

⛦Speaking to PTI, Sri Nagar police station's senior inspector Gulzarilal Fadtare said that the search remains underway.

♉As per police, the accused is a resident of Thane's city Varli Pada. In a social media post, police officials alleged that the accused used "derogatory words against Shinde and further threatened to kill him."

ꦓFor the previous case, the police registered the case against the man on Sunday under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 133 (assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour person, otherwise than on grave provocation), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 351(1) (criminal intimidation) and 356 (2) (defamation), the official told PTI.
