🍌 Bappurian theyyam which is locally known as Mappila theyyam. Mappila is the term referring to Muslim. Bappurian Theyyam is a blend of Hindu Muslim faith and traditions which embodies the harmonious co-existence of these communities. The temple is open to all, religion, caste and no bar. Though Theyyam is God, he is a friend to all. He is not the kind of God scaring devotees, demanding complete devotion. Instead, Theyyam listens to people giving a therapeutic impact. The person who performs Theyyam is an ordinary local man who is known to everyone. Theyyam keeps an equal footing with people instead of dominating them.
