Qatar GP: Verstappen Wins At Lusail International Circuit

Oracle Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen showed his championship qualities with a commanding drive to victory in an incident-packed Qatar Grand Prix, the penultimate race of the 2024 Formula 1 season. The newly crowned four-time world champion had qualified on pole position for the Grand Prix, but was later docked a position for slowing another driver on his cool down lap. This did nothing to slow the Dutchman however and after passing pole-sitter George Russell on the run into Turn 1, he controlled the race. Not even three separate Safety Car incidents could throw Verstappen off and he cruised home 6.031s ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, while MacLaren's Oscar Piastri claimed the final podium position.
