England cricket team will face the hosts West Indies at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Wednesday, December 6. The Windies lead 1-0 against The Three Lions in the three-match ODI bilateral series. (Cricket News)
Jos Buttler-led England team's bad run in the ODI format continued even after the ODI World Cup. West Indies defeated England in the first ODI after chasing a 326-run target with seven balls and four wickets to spare after captain Shai Hope played a match-winning knock of 109 runs. He also hit three sixes in Sam Curran's over to finish the game and a📖lso completed his 16th O🔯DI hundred.
There were many positives from England's batting. Top-order performed well and granted a very good start. Harry Brook in the middle order played a gritty 𓃲71-run knock followed by Sam Curran and Brydon Carse's caꩵmeo at the end. Spinners Rehan Ahmed and Liam Livingstone bowled relatively well but the pacers, especially Sam Curran fell short and conceded runs with an economy of 10.

The Three Lions will surely learn from their mistakes in the first ODI and will bounce back in the second ODI otherwise the series would be taken away from them. The Windies have performed pretty well cons♋idering the fact that they failed to qualify for this year's ODI World Cup.
