Delhi Capitals jumped to the top of the Women's Premier League table after thrashing Mumbai Indians by nine wickets on Friday in the WPL 2025 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. (Full Coverage | More Cricket News)

🍰MI were off to a decent start as the opening duo of Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Matthews added 35 runs before Shikha Pandey removed the former in the last over of powerplay which was also a maiden. Just two balls after field opened up, Matthews too was dismissed by Annabel Sutherland.

༒Harmanpreet Kaur did land some counter punches but her wicket in the 11th over completely turned the game. Jonassen and Manni took wickets consistently and MI could not go beyond 123/9, the second lowest total of the season.

♓Varma and Lanning added 57 runs in the powerplay to kill the chase right at the start. Varma was dismissed for a 28-ball 43 in the 10th over but by that time, the result had become a formality. Lanning completed her half-century and Jemimah Rodrigues too hit a couple of fours as the duo guided DC to an emphatic nine-wicket win.

ꦏDC now have four wins in six games and are at the top of the standings. MI are at the second spot with three wins and two losses, both of them coming against DC.
