With Delhi Assembly elections approaching, the war of words worsens between Lieutenant Gov🍨erno🌱r VK Saxena and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal concerning the state of civic amenities in the national capital city.
Recently, in a letter to Kejriwal, LG Saxena held the AAP government accused of neglecting critical civic infrastructure andཧ pub♚lic services over the past decade.
Responding to Saxena's letter to Kejriwal, AAP hit back at him saying he seemed "more interested in politics than his sole responsibility-l🉐aw and order" that is in "complete disarray and worsening" with each passing day.
The heated exchan𒈔ge h♎ighlighted the continuing rift between Delhi's elected government and the LG’s office, with both sides attempting to highlight their governance credentials.
Kejriwal vs Saxena over Delhi civic issues
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena's remarks came in response to Kejriwal's post on X, where he thanked the LG for highlighting the problems of Rangpuri Pa💝hari during hi💧s visit on Saturday.
"LG sahab: Thank you for drawing our attention to the problems of Rangpuri pahadi. Our team is constructing a new drain there and cleaning it on a war footing. You visited New Rohtak 𒁃Road and also told us about the drain overflow and broken road there. You will be happy to know that the road on one side has been built there, and soon the road on the other side will also be ready. Also, a new drain is being built there at a cost of Rs 150 crore," Kejriwa🍷l said in the post.
"If you see any🦹 problem in anyꩲ part of Delhi, just tell us—we will solve it," he added.
Responding to Kejriwal's posts on X, Saxena said in the letter, “Thankfully, even after 10 years, your eyes opened to the miserable conditioℱns and hellish ‘civic amenities’ prevailing in Delhi.”
Yamuna row and others: The civic issues
Besides listing vario♒us fields including poor conditions of government schools, mohalla clinics, and hospitals in Kiradi, Burari, and Mundka, Saxena also criticized the delay in tackling issues🍬 such as Yamuna pollution, road repairs, and sewer desilting, holding the Delhi government accountable for the lack of progress.
Comentingᩚᩚᩚ﷽ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ on the Yamuna pollution, AAP in return charged that the BJP has devised a new plan to harass Delhi people by discharging industrial waste into Yamuna from Haryana, a state ruled by it.
"Despite lecturing endlessly 🍰about the Yamuna, why can’t they stop this industrial waste? For ten years, th🌳e BJP has been in power in Haryana, yet they remain incapable of addressing this issue," AAP said.

Row over water Yamuna causing water shortage in Delhi
The rift between AAP and BJP further intensified with the wꦺater shortage due to high ammonia levels in the Yamuna river as the ruling AAP and the opposition BJP on Monday traded blame on each other over the issue.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, AAP leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj slammed the BJP government in neighbouring Haryana of contributing to the crisis by allowing unchecked dumpi🍎ng of toxic industrial waste int💦o the Yamuna River.
Bharadwaj said ammonia 🌠levels in the river have risen to dangerously high levels, impacting the operation of the Wazirabad water treatment plant (WTP), which is now operating at half its capacity.
Hitting back at the AAP leader, Delhi BJP General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP Yogendrಞa Chandolia dismissed the claims as "false" and "misleading" while saying that the wa♛ter entering Delhi from Haryana, particularly at Palla, complied with the statutory regulations and was clean.
