In an ꦅera where heal🌠thcare and technology are increasingly intertwined, leaders who drive meaningful innovation are more crucial than ever. One such trailblazer is Eesha Ambike, a biomedical engineer and stellar product manager with over a decade of experience in developing digital health solutions. Her work has played a transformative role in advancing patient care, chronic disease management, and AI-driven healthcare innovations.

From a young girl from India inspired by her grandfather's health struggles to a leading product leader, Eesha Ambike's journey is nothing short of inspiring. Currently based in San Francisco, California, Eesha is making waves at Abbott Diabetes Care, where she leads the development of advanced digital tools that integrate data and AI to assist healthcare professionals in achieving better patient outcomes. Ambike has worked across multiple health technology companies, contributing to solutions🎀 that empower healthcare professionals and patients alike.

Deep Passion for Using Technology to Better Patients’ Lives

Eeꦿsha's journey began with a personal experience that ignited her passion for health tech. "I remember observing my grandfather at home and seeing how overwhelmed he was with managing his Type-2 diabetes," Eesha recalls. "I knew there had to be a better way." This drive led her to San Francisco, where she has worked with multiple health technology companies, creatin﷽g innovative tools that empower both healthcare professionals and patients.

In 2022, she joined the product management team at Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC), where she leads the development of smart digital tools integrating data to assist healthcare professionals in making confident, da🐓ta-driven decisions. Within her first year, she spearheaded two pivotal initiatives in collaboration with leading AID manufacturing companies.

“Imagine having a device thaꦦt constantly monitors your blood sug🤡ar and adjusts your insulin automatically, giving you better control and peace of mind,” says Eesha, elaborating on her experience working with diabetes tech. “This is what an Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) system does by combining an insulin pump with a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM). The CGM checks your glucose levels every few minutes and sends this data to the insulin pump. The pump then delivers insulin based on this data, increasing or decreasing the amount as needed.”

Prior to her tenure at ADC, Ambike played a key role as director of technical product management at BrightInsight Inc., a rapidly growing digital health startup in San Jose, CA. During its early days, she led a crucial project for patients suffering from respiratory conditions in collaboration with a leading pharma company, focusing on enhancing chronic disease management through digital solutions. She h♛as also worked with Roche Molecular Systems on revolutionary DNA sequencing technology and contributed to Boston Scientific’s advancements in caꦕrdiac rhythm management.

Driving Healthcare Transformation Through Technology

“Today, we are fortunate to live in a world where the opportunities to use the latest developments in technology to improve patient care are limitless,” Eesha adds. “But this needs to be done fo🍌llowing proper regulations and ethics.”

As a thought leader in health technology, Ambike is particularly focused on how innovation can revolutionize healthcare in rapidly developing regions like India, her motherland. With an increasing need for access♊ible and affordable healthcare solutions, she believes digital technology can bridge the gap between urban and rural healthcare systems. Some key areas of impact include:

1. Telemedicine & Mobile Health Apps: The♉se platforms are enabling remote consultations, ensuring that patients in underserved areas can access quality healthcare witꦑhout the need for extensive travel.

2. Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) & AI Integration: The digitization of pa♈tient data and AI-driven analytics are enhancing diagnostic accuracy and enabling personalized treatment plans, leading to improved patieꦉnt outcomes.

3. Wearable Devices & Remote Monitoring: Innovations sucꦛh as wearable glucose sensors empower individuals to monitor their health metrics, proactively manage chronic conditions, and take charge of their well-being.

The Road Ahead

As she continues her journey in health technology, Ambik🥂e remains committed to leveraging innovaꦫtion to make healthcare more accessible, efficient, and effective. Eesha envisions a world where digital health solutions are accessible to everyone, bridging the gap between urban and rural healthcare.
