As counting of votes for the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections comes at the final phase, trends are looking mixed in terms of vote share. Latest data with the Election Commission of India showed that BJP secured 45.56 percent of total votes in Delhi 2025 Assembly electionsꦫ. AAP clocked in 43.57 percent vote share and Congress secured 6.34 percent votes.

🤪Historically, data also showed that the BJP has gained its vote share over the last few assembly elections in Delhi whereas the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and grand old Congress has lost significant votes. The influence of communities like Jat, Purvanchal voters and Muslim voters in the vote share of the parties is pivotal and as of now, BJP has been leading among them.

2020 Assembly Elections

The 2020 Delhi Assembly elections saw AAP🐈 coming to power again with a huge majority. It won 62 out of 70 seats with a vote share of 53.57 percent. The next big party was BJP which secured 38.51 percent of the votes. The grand old Indian National Congress secured 4.26 percent of the total votes.

2015 Assembly Elections

൲The AAP roared to victory byu securing 67 of the 70 seats. Its vote share was at 54.3 percent whereas BJP, which was the second largest party, secured 32. 4 percent of the total votes. INC lost a huge chunk of its vote share due to charges of a corrupt government. Its vote share plummeted to 9.7 percent in 2015.

2013 Assembly Elections

ไBJP secured the highest number of votes and seats among all the parties but it failed to reach any coalition to touch the halfway mark. The saffron party secured 44.3 percent of votes and won 31 seats. Next was AAP which emerged from the Anti-Corruption movement and was contesting the assembly polls for the first time. It secured 40 percent of votes. And INC secured 11.4 percent of votes.

2008 Assembly Elections

The 2008 Delhi Assembly Elections were a tough battle between INC and BJP 🦂where the former won. INC secured 40.31 percent of the total votes whereas BJP secured 36.34 percent votes.
