🍬Delhi Chief Minister Atishi continues to trail behind BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri by 1,635 votes from the Kalkaji

💮With BJP already celebrating their victory, Ramesh Bidhuri said the AAP would be "eliminated" from Delhi.

"The people will give the BJP 🌄a decisive mandate. Under PM Narendra Modi's leadership, Delhi will progress along with the rest of the country. I can confidently say that the AAP will be eliminated from the national capital," he said.

ꦡ"The voters in Kalkaji have prioritised development and will support the BJP, he said.

♚As per BJP leader Virendra Sachedeva, the next Delhi chief minister will be from the BJP but the central leadership will decide on who it will be, the party's Delhi president Virendra Sachdeva.

💮As per ECI, the BJP continues to remain in the lead with 41 seats as AAP trails behind at 29.

ඣ“The results so far are in line with our expectations but we will wait for the final outcome,” Sachdeva told reporters after offering prayers at the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place.

♛With counting underway, a decisive lead for the BJP has been declared. Despite AAP leaders such as Kejriwal and Atishi trailing from their seats, Manish Sisodia continues to lead from the Jangpura seat.

🙈Congress candidate from New Delhi constituency Sandeep Dikshit has said that he was surprised at the level of votes Arvind Kejriwal received.

𓆏"Given Kejriwal ji's current situation, he may not be able to recover... The level of anti-incumbency against him (Arvind Kejriwal) was very high. In fact, I am surprised he even got the votes he did—he should have received even fewer. We (Congress) were unable to convince people that we were emerging as a strong alternative, which benefited BJP, while many votes remained stuck with AAP," he told reporters.

♏Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party has found itself at a disadvantage for the 2025 assembly elections. As per the Election Commission of India, the BJP is all set to sweep the national capital.

𝔉With 45 leads in the bag, the Bharatiya Janta Party is set to form the next government.

📖 AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal was trailing by 1,170 votes from New Delhi constituency after briefly taking the lead over his BJP rival Parvesh Verma, according to the Election Commission website.

🔴Kejriwal's vote tally stood at 18,097 and Verma had 19,267 votes at the end of the eighth round of counting.

🐲The trends showed the BJP was leading in 45 of Delhi's 70 assembly seats.

▨While the AAP has dominated the political landscape in Delhi for the last 10 years, the BJP has been out of power in the city since 1998.

ཧThe Congress, which governed Delhi from 1998 to 2013 and was hoping for a resurgence, seemed headed for its third straight washout.

ꩵDelhi, with 1.55 crore eligible voters, recorded a turnout of 60.54 per cent in the February 5 elections.

ཧAAP candidate from Jangpura constituency, Manish Sisodia has conceded defeat.

🙈Speaking to reporters, he said - "Party workers fought well; we all did hard work. People have supported us as well. But, I lose by 600 votes. I congratulate the candidate who won. I hope he will work for the constituency."

After trailing from the Kalkaji seat, Delhi CM Atishi is back in the lead by 989 votes. 🍷She is up against BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress' Alka Lamba.

"...It was very obvious from all the meetings that people wanted change. They voted for change," Priyanka Gandhi said while speaking to reporters.

𒁏Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday hailed the BJP's superb performance in the Delhi elections as a triumph of "truth, development and vision".

♈The BJP is poised to take power in Delhi after more than 26 years. According to trends and results on the Election Commission website, the saffron party leads in 48 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) trails with 22 seats.

ꦏ"Truth, development, and vision win! Defeat of deceit, lies and corruption! Like India, Modi is in the heart of Delhi too #DelhiElectionResult," Khandu posted on X.

꧑Speaking to reporters, BJP state unit president Kaling Moyong credited the party's victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's developmental vision.

♊As BJP stunned the Arvind Kejriwal-led party in Delhi polls, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said voters have given a befitting reply to the ‘AAP-da’ government that had crossed all limits of "corruption, misgovernance and anarchy”.

🐻The BJP on Saturday cleaned out the AAP in Delhi and returned to power in the city after more than 26 years, extending its saffron imprint and dealing a devastating blow to the party whose top leadership crumbled or barely made it.

Among the giants who bit the dust were ex-CM Kejriwal himself, his trusted aide and deputy CM Manish Sisodia as well as Somnath Bharti and Saurabh Bhardwaj.

🔯“Deceit does not last long. The ‘AAP-da’ (disaster) government had crossed all limits of corruption, misgovernance, lies and anarchy in Delhi. The people of Delhi have given a befitting reply to this and made the state AAP-da-free,” Sai said.

🦄PM Modi has been taking care of all sections, considering ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ as the basic mantra, said the CM. This boosted people’s faith in the BJP and the PM. The people of Delhi know very well that development is possible only with the BJP, he said.

🤪 It has been 34 years since economic reforms began in this country and everybody got equal opportunities after reforms brought out by former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao, he said.

🀅 He further said the GSDP and per capita income of several states have gone up multifold. Some states have failed better than others due to governance, alluding to Delhi and Andhra Pradesh (during YSRCP regime). 🦹 The Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office was in Kathua, which is part of his Udhampur parliamentary constituency, to inaugurate seven water supply schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

♔ The schemes built with an outlay Rs 25.31 crore will benefit 15,881 people, covering 2,584 households in 10 villages.

𝓀 "A total of 303 water supply schemes, with an estimated cost of Rs 1,369.57 crore are being taken up in Kathua under the Jal Jeevan Mission," he said, pointing out that certain issues being faced in proper implementation of the schemes are being sorted out in coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir government.

𒉰 Presenting a report card of the works done in his parliamentary constituency in the first 100 days of the Narendra Modi government 3.0, he enumerated the key projects like the prestigious Chattergala tunnel and Delhi to Katra Expressway corridor, saying these ambitious projects are nearing their completion.

💞 Crediting PM Modi with creating a new work culture, Singh said the government is focused on completing the stalled projects to boost connectivity in remote parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

ꦓ He said the Chattergala tunnel, once completed, will be a game-changer in providing all-weather connectivity between Doda and Lakhanpur. It has now been decided to build nine additional underpasses along the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, fulfilling a public demand, Singh said.

ꦓ Underlining the potential of tourism to create employment opportunities and boost livelihoods, Singh said steps are also being taken to promote tourism in places such as Basohli and Mantalia in the region.

ꦆ The minister said Kathua will soon become a major hub of economic activity, offering avenues of self-employment to the local youth.

"Congress has hit a double hattrick of 'zero' in Delhi elections. The oldest party in the country is not able to get even one seat in the national capital for the last 6 times. They are giving the gold medal of defeat to themselves. The party not only loses but also brings down its allies," he said.

🤪"For six consecutive elections in the national capital, the country's oldest political party has failed to secure even a single seat. This reflects the waning trust in Congress among the electorate. I mentioned previously that Congress functions like a parasitic party, dragging down its allies in the process. It seems to be systematically weakening and eliminating its alliances, one by one," BJP Delhi quoted PM Modi.

ಌProjecting BJP's win in Delhi Assembly polls as no ordinary victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that the people have got rid of "AAP-da" after a decade and promised the entire national capital region the country's best urban infrastructure.

🦄Addressing joyous BJP workers at its headquarters here, Modi delivered a warning to the outgoing Aam Aadmi Party government saying that the CAG reports, which have reportedly highlighted its alleged financial irregularities, will be tabled in the first assembly session and all cases of corruption probed by the new dispensation.

꧑"Those who have looted will have to pay back. This is also Modi's guarantee," he said, describing former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his party colleagues as "most corrupt", without taking any name.

ꦦPeople have short-circuited the politics of short-cuts, he said.

🐟The BJP's "historic" win has ushered in a festival of victory and relief of getting rid of "AAP-da" (disaster) among the people of Delhi, he said.

ও"The country does not need the politics of 'dhoort-ta and moorkhta' (deceit and foolishness)," Modi said targeting AAP as well as the Congress.

🎐He said the main opposition party is now "stealing" the agenda of its allies and eying their votes after its leaders' bid to identify with Hindu causes through temple-hopping cut no ice with voters.

ꩲModi was apparently referring to the Congress taking up in a big way the issue of caste census and other planks traditionally associated with socialist and regional parties.

🐎He said the people of Delhi have expressed their full trust in "Modi ki guarantee", and the BJP will repay their "debt" by developing the city with double speed.

ꦓHe assured the city that the BJP government will make every effort to clean Yamuna. "It may be a long haul but Mother Yamuna will surely bless our efforts," he said.

💎Modi asserted that the new BJP government will fulfil all its promises, as it has done in every state where it is in power.

ꦉReiterating his call for one lakh youths to join politics to stop those practising "dhoort-ta and moorkhta" from capturing national politics, he said, "The country truly needs serious political transformation. 'Viksit Bharat' needs new life force, new ideas and new energy in the 21st century."

ꦺLashing out against the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, the prime minister took up his remarks of fighting the Indian State to claim that the opposition party is not doing politics of national interest but of "urban naxals" and that it is speaking the language of spreading anarchy.

﷽"Success and failure happen. But if the youth does not join politics, then the country will be trapped in the politics of deceit and foolishness," he said.

𝄹Modi said the Congress made a failed bid for a few years after 2014 to "become Hindus" as its leaders visited temples and engaged in worship before realising that it is the BJP's territory where they could do little.

🦂"Now the Congress has started stealing the agenda of its allies and snatching their votes," he said.

✅The main opposition party is raising issues in Uttar Pradesh that parties like the Samajwadi Party and the BSP considered their own and has turned to spreading the "poison of casteism" in Bihar to capture the the RJD's turf, he added.

𓆏It has done similar politics in other states like Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Jammu and Kashmir and that is why, he said, its allies from the INDIA bloc campaigned for AAP.

ಞAsserting that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is identified with development and good governance, he cited the BJP's repeated wins in a number of states and also praised allies such as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for their work.

ꦑIn a no-holds-barred attack on AAP, Modi said these 'AAP-da' people came into politics saying that they will change politics but they emerged as "kattar baimaan (most dishonest)".

🍒"Now Delhi's double-engine government will ensure development at double speed. It is a historic win and not a usual victory as the people of Delhi have shown the door to 'AAP-da'. Delhi has become Aapda-mukt," Modi said.

ℱModi said people have again given a big message to the opposition party and it has secured a "double hat-trick" in the national capital by failing to open account in six elections.

🌳"These people are giving themselves the gold medal in defeat. The truth is that the country is not willing to trust the Congress. I had said the last time that the Congress has become a parasitic party. It drowns and takes down its allies with it," he said.

⭕Modi said that the Congress is not as it used to be post-independence as it is indulging in the "politics of urban naxals".

൩The BJP and its NDA partners on Saturday hailed the Delhi victory as an endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership while the Congress asserted that it was a referendum on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and not Modi's policies.

𒈔The Congress also lashed out at those criticising it for contesting against Aam Aadmi Party, saying they didn’t give "these lectures on opposition unity to AAP when the party went to Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, etc to fight elections and weaken anti-communal, secular vote".

𒁏Congress media and publicity department head Pawan Khera said the "meltdown" of a section is completely bizarre and said the Delhi election result is a "rejection of the Trojan horse that attempted to damage the liberal cause" across the country.

ꦇ"Majority of liberals are rightly cheering the fall of the facade so that the real champion of liberal values - the Indian National Congress - can emerge stronger to take the BJP on and defeat it," Khera said on X.

ꩲInternal bickering came to the fore within the INDIA bloc, with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah taking a jibe after both the Congress and AAP lost.

🐬"Aur lado aapas mein!!!" (Keep on fighting each other)," the NC leader said on X.

꧙Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said the assembly election results reflected nothing more than a referendum on Kejriwal and AAP.

🉐Noting that AAP won in Delhi at the height of prime minister's popularity in 2015 and 2020, it shows that, "rather than being vindication of the policies of the prime minister, this vote is a rejection of Arvind Kejriwal's politics of deceit, deception, and vastly exaggerated claims of achievement."

𒁏"The Congress was expecting to do better. It has, however, increased its vote share. The campaign of the Congress was vigorous. It may not be in the assembly but it is definitely a presence in Delhi, a presence that will be expanded electorally with the sustained efforts of lakhs of Congress workers," Ramesh said.

🍬"There will be a Congress government once again in Delhi in 2030," he asserted.
