17 Years Of Jodhaa Akbar: The Academy To Host Special Screening Of Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai Starrer In March

On Saturday, February 15, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai's Jodhaa Akbar🦂 turned 17 years. To mark the special occasion, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced it will host a special screening of the film in Los Angeles in March 2025, reported IANS.

♛Recently, the Academy shared a clip from the movie. It featured Aishwarya’s wedding lehenga from the film in its Colour in Motion exhibition, curated by fashion designer designer Neeta Lulla.

Expressing his deep gratitude on the special occasion, director Ashutosh Gowariker shared, “On this 17th Anniversary of Jodhaa Akbar✃, I’m filled with immense gratitude for the audiences, that have kept it in their memory and continue to express their love for it. The film’s journey—from its release to now being honoured with a special screening at the Academy—is an acknowledgment of the artistic contribution of everyone involved.''

Released in 2008, Jodhaa Akbar❀ is about the love story between the Mughal emperor Akbar (Roshan) and Rajput princess Jodhaa Bai (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). The film was a critical and commercial success. The period drama was raved for the stellar performances, direction, cinematography, music, choreography and costume design.
