Boulter was relieved to avoid facing her fiance, Alex De Minaurꦯ, in the mixed doubles after De Minaur won his match against Billy Harris 6-2, 6-1. Together with Gadecki, he secured a 6-3, 7-6 (3) win in the mixed doubles, but Australia did not advance.
ไBoulter’s next challenge includes competing against world number two Iga Swiatek, while Harris will face Hubert Hurkacz. This marks a significant achievement for Great Britain, reaching the last eight for the first time.
♈Meanwhile, Swiatek also had a strong showing, winning two matches for Poland in their 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic.
