The top-seeded pair of Sini༺akova and Townsend downed Hsi🉐eh Su-wei and Jelena Ostapenko, the 2017 French Open women's singles champion, in a thrilling final, prevailing 6-2 6-7 (4-7) 6-3.
In the process, Siniakova, t🍒he world ༺number one in doubles, matched some of tennis' greatest players.
She became the 22nd woman to win their 10t🃏h doubles grand slam title,𒀰 but the first since Hingis at Wimbledon in 2015.
Siniakova has now scooped three Australian Open titles, m🐎atching her tallies at Roland Garros and Wimbl💝edon.
In doing so, the Czech became just the sixth woman to win at least three doubles crowns at three of the grand slams, joining 🐼Shriver and Navratilova, who won a record 31 doubles titles at the majors, on that list, alongside Natasha Zvereva, Gigi Fernandez and Jana Novotna.
