ཧNeeraj Goyat, the first Indian boxer to have made the WBC rankings, is up against Whindersson Nunes, a Brazilian YouTuber and comedian in a super-middleweight fight. This is a six-round, non-title clash.

🌌Goyat, already one of the most recognisable boxers in India, dominated his rookie opponent from Brazil in the first couple of rounds. The 2008 Youth Commonwealth Games medallist pinned the social media influencer in one of the corners. And he even allowed Nunes to have a go at his body. Fun!

﷽Wow, what was that? A massive left-hander from Serrano disorients Taylor towards the end of round 1. Such punches are not customary in these weight categories and the defending champion has been jolted. The opening round goes to Serrano and so does the second, who is acing the early exchanges.

Many considered it to be much a closer fight than the ruling indicates, with Serrano unsettling Taylor with her huge left-handers early on. Nevertheless, there will be no re-match.

This is getting a but much. The biggest boxing contest of the year, if not decade, is underway and we still don't have resumption of streaming services. 🅠Halfway through the bout, it's not looking good for Mike Tyson. He's breathing very heavily and his legs don't seem to be holding out. Remember, we have eight rounds of two minutes each scheduled in the bout. At 58, it is inconceivably tough to withstand the force of pro-level punches of a single round. Eight whole rounds is an entirely different matter. That the legend is still on his feet against Jake Paul is testament to his will and skill.

🐭And that's that. The bout ends in a tame manner as Paul wins by unanimous decision, the easiest decision to make for judges one would reckon in a fight like this. Paul called the shots from start to end and many spectators left the ring midway, annoyed by the lopsided nature of the match-up. As for the result, one judge scored it 80-72 and two saw it as a 79-73 win for Paul. Meanwhile, with the showpiece event over, Netflix is now back and running for many users.

ꩲA true reflection of just how lopsided the bout was, was the fact that Mike Tyson landed just 18 punches across eight rounds of two minutes each, as against 78 punches from Jake Paul. Tyson showed some enterprise in the opening round when he was the most energetic but that was about it, as all his years out of the arena were painfully evident. Paul was most active in round three, throwing 44 punches, though only 16 landed.

ꦚMany were expecting this bout to be the last of Tyson's career, and looking at how he fared tonight, it is realistic to stick to that expectation. Tyson himself has vowed to fight on, but at 58 years of age, it is hard to see the legend regaining reflexes of yore. As for Paul, a clash against Canelo Alvarez has been on the anvil but after his imperious display against Tyson, the ball is firmly in Paul's court.
