Don Bradman And Allan Border

ওCricket legend Don Bradman played his famous 128-run knock on 26th January in 1934 when he made his runs in just 96 minutes. While playing for New South Wales against Sydney, he smashed 17 fours and four sixes.

In another incident of cricket 🥀on 26 January, another Australian legend, Allan Border took 7-46 against West Indies at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground in 1989.

Baseball Hall of Fame

𝓰Mel Ott and Jimmie Foxx were elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951 and after five years on the same day, Hank Greenberg and Joe Cronin were elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956.

First Ever Winter Olympic Gold medal

♋American skater Charles Jewtraw claimed the first ever Winter Olympic gold medal after winning the 500m speed skating event in 44.0s at the Chamonix Games in France in 1924 on this day.

💜Clas Thunberg of Finland also claimed his first of 5 gold medals on the same day when he won the 5,000m speed skating in 2:20.8 at the Chamonix Winter Olympics.

Australian Open Women's Tennis

🍸Margaret Court won the inaugural Australian Open Women's Tennis event in 1969 when she defeated American Billie Jean King 6-4, 6-1.

💯On 26 January 2019, Naomi Osaka became the first world no. 1 ranked player after 7-6, 5-7, 6-4 win over Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic. She was also the first Japanese player to win Australian singles title.

Kobe Byrant Dies In Helicopter Crash
