China manage to make the first attack butℱ the ball goes out of bounds. No trouble for India's custodian.

11' The game has begun slowly. No strong attacks so far from both the sides. The p𒁃ossession has continued to change hands but the scoreline remains 0-0.

10' Long corner for India.

Some good stickwork from Abhishek inside the Chinese D, the first D penetration from India. But India only manage to get a long co🐽rner. No shots at the Chinese goal so far.

8' Penalty corner for India

Jarmanpreet in🔥jects, Harmanpreet shoots but the Chinese goalkeeper manages to clear. And China run away with a counter attack with only a few Indian defenders in the D. No troubl🍒e for India though. The ball goes out of bounds.

5' China get their first PC!

The Chinese have shown good ability so far in the game and they get a PC now. ജNot a very good drag there from the Chinese drag flicker. An opportunity lost for China. The drag 𓆏was fumbled and the shot had absolutely no power. India clear.

1' India Take Lead!!!!

Brilliant deflection from Sukhjeet Singh at the goal mouth and India have taken a lead. China were able to hold off India till now but this is a moment of brilliance from Sukhjeet. A go💫od pass from outside the circle finds Sukhjeet who has stick at the right place to deflect the ball into the goalpost. India with a 1-0 lead.

There is the bumper. The first quarter is over and while China have done really well in the first fifteen minutes, it ⛎is India who are ahea𒁃d.

Second qua♉rter begins. India are on the lead but China have looked really good so far. India would likꦇe to build on this lead and China on the other hand would like to continue on their good work.

10' India have started positively in the second quarter and China have looked a bit off-colo♛ur. Two circle penetrations so far for the Indian side in this quarter in the first five minutes but no further inroads.

3' UTTAM SINGH SCORES!!!!

Uttam Singh finds the ball on rebound in the Chinese cirle. Takes his time. Finds the hole in the defence and smashes the ball to the right of the Chinese goalkeeper. Straight into the goalpost. India double their lead and it is Uttam Singh who has scored the goalဣ.

1' India miss a chance.

India make a circle entry and a couple of Indians were in the hunt for the ball in front of an empty goal post as the goallie was on the ground after clearing the ball. But it is ꦓthe Chinese who take control of the ball and now the danger is averted for the hosts.

It is the half-time and India have doubled their lead. Two g🌠oals in two quarters and India are now in a strong position i🥀n their opening Asian Champions Trophy encounter.

14' INDIA SCORE AGAIN

The second half begins and yet again it is India who have started aggressively. W✱ithin a minute, India have scored. It is Abhishek who has slammed a strong backhand right in𓆏to the Chinese goalpost.

12' PC for India

No conversion though. India continue to hover around the Chinese 🔴goalpost but penalty corners have not been successful s🌳o far. Just two PCs so far but no conversion.

3' China get a PC

China finally ma♏ke a great attack through a long ariel ball and some error from Harmanpreet Sing🐽h. China handed a PC here.

B♎ut China fail to convert. A very powerful shot but off target totally and Chinese still continue to look for their first goal.

Quarter 3 is over. India continue to be in the lead. Three goals so far, one in each qua🙈rter from Indians. Sukhjeet Singh scored in the first, Uttam Singh the second and in the third quarter it was Abhishek who got the goalpost.

Actio♓n in the fourth and final quarter is up and running. India ahead by three goal🌜s.

12' Abhishek gets another solಞid shot from the backhand but misses the goalpost. India continue to be on the attack.

6' Another PC for India

Near miss! Jugraj smashes it hard to the right of the Chinese keeper but it is off-target. A real☂ly good shot, powerful, low but just outside the bars.

4' India cont🌟inue to be in the attack but no goals so far in the last quarter. Two penalty corners but still the score remains the same.

1' China up the ante

Chinese have made a few strong attacks in the final minutes of the match but the Indian defence has stood tight. Chiဣna continue to draw blank on the scoreline but some impressive performance in the final moments of the game.

There is the final bumpe♎r and India launch their title defence with a resounding 3-0 victory over China.

Harmanpreet Singh has ༒been a🦩warded the Hero Of The Match.

The Indian hockey team, led by the formidable Harmanpreet Singh, have registered a dominating 3-0 victory over China. Indians scored in every quarter except the last one. Sukhjeet Singh started the 🧸proceedings with a first quarter goal. Uttam Singh then doubled India's lead. The third and final goal was scored by Abhishek. China had their moments in the opening quarter and the final quarter but the defence really was founding for the hosts.
