Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers have started their Hockey India League (HIL) 2024-25 campaign with a thrilling 3-2 win over Hyderabad Toofans at the Birsa Munda National Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Sunday. (Highlights | More Hockey News)

Jugraj Singh opened the🐓 goal for Bengal Tigers in th𒁃e ninth minute of the first quarter after he converted a penalty corner to provide his team an early lead in the game.

Bengal Tigers went on to score one goal in the next two quarters with Sukhjeet Singh doing the damage for 💃the opponents in the 20th minute. He scored a brilliant field goal to score his first goal of the season.

Affan Yousuf continued his fine form in the state-level hockey matches and scored the third goal for the Bengal Tigers in the game✃.

The goalkeeper Jamie Carr played a vital role in the Bengal Tigers' win as he saved many potential goals and a penalt🌳y stroke as well. Hyderabad༺ Toofans were awarded 10 penalty corners but they managed to convert only two thanks to Jamie Carr's brilliant goalkeeping.

On the other hand, winners Bengal Tigers got only six penalty corners and they only converted the first one thanks to the expꦺerienced Jugraj Singh. Two field goals proved to be the difference for Tigers in the end.

There was some drama in the last minute but all came to no use for Toofans as they lost the match by one goal. Although the Toofans applied pressure late in the game, t༒he Bengal Tigers secured the win.

The Hyderabad Toofans will face the Delhi SG Pipers on December 3🥃1, whil𝓀e the Bengal Tigers are set to play against Team Gonasika on January 1.
