The United States issued over onꦜe million visas to India in 2024. This feat marks the second year in a row the US Embassy in India has issued and approved a record number of non-immigrant visas.
As per the offi𓄧cial statement issued by the US Embassy in New D﷽elhi, India emerged as the top sender of international students in 2024 with over 331,000 students enrolled across the 50 states.
Furthermore, Inꦇdia maintained its position as the largest contributor of international graduate students. The n♐umber of visas issued this year was 30 percent higher than 2023.
"In the past four years, visitor numbers from India have increased by five times, and more than two million Indians travelled to the United States in the first eleven months of 2024🐟, a 26 percent increase over the same period in 2023. Over five million Indians already have a nonimmigrant visa to visit the United States and each day the Mission issues thousands more," said the embassy.
The US Mission in India issued tens of thousands of immigrant visas along with non-immigrant visas. Upon arrival, these visa holders 𝔉then became permanent r🍸esidents upon arrival.
The embassy has further stated that over five million Indians have been issued non-immigrant visas and tens of thouꦚsands of visas continue to be💜 issued.
Earlier this month, the United States announced a change in the H-1B visa system, which would greatly benefit Indians. per the announcement by the Dep🌠artment of Homeland Security, the changes would allow companies to fill out urgent vacancies effectively and with greater flexibility.
