West Ham have been on the lookout for atta🅘cking reinforcements after losing Niclas Full𝐆krug to a hamstring injury last month.
The Germany international had already missed three months with an Achilles problem prior to Christmas, while fellow forward Michail Antonio suffered a broken leg in a car crash in Deꦬcember and is expected to be out for around a year.
A🐲s a result, the Hammers have swooped for Republic of Ireland 💯international Ferguson, who has made 11 of his 13 league appearances this season from the bench.
West Hamꩵ boss Potter handed a 16-year-old Ferguson his senior debut while in charge of Brighton in 2021, and the frontman is excited to work with him again at the London Stadium.
&quo🍒t;It feels good to be here. Seeing the stadium and being here today𓆏, I've got a very good feeling," Ferguson said after putting pen to paper on transfer deadline day.
"I can see and know how big West Ham 🐓United is. It wa༒s a big opportunity for me to come here. I know the gaffer well and look forward to working under him again.
"I want🎃 to come in and do my best for the club, score goals, and see where w🗹e get to."
Ferguson has scored 13 Premier League goa♍ls for Br💝ighton in total, despite making just 27 starts in the top flight.
The form of Danny Welbeck, Joao Pedro and Georginio Rutter has limited his opport🐼unities in 2024-25, though, leading Fabian Hurzeler to sanction a temporary move.
