Talking about the decision, Charith Asalanka 🌳said: "We are going to bowl first. Looks overcast and also we lost 12 overs and that is the main reason. We expect the ball to move around early on. We have good plans, but execution will be the key."
His Opposite number, Mitchell Santner said: "We were going to bowl as well, get through the tough spell and cash in if you get a good start. With the dimensions, you can probably target one side, but this is the kind of wicket where you need to keep the wickets in hand and cash in later on. Sri Lanka are a great side and expect them to come out charging today. We got one change. Tom Latham comes in for Mitch Hay."
