Jasprit Bumrah is only human and cannot be expected to take on the entire responsibility of bowling out the opposition by himself, said skipper Rohit Sharma on Sunday. He urged other players to share the load with the premier fast bowler. (Day 3 Highlights | More Cricket News)

India lost to Australia by 10 wickets in the second Test match, and during the Australian innings, only Bumrah stood out with a remarkable four-wicket haul.

♋“Jasprit Bumrah cannot be expected to shoulder all the responsibility. We can’t expect him to bowl from both ends. The other bowlers also need to step up and share the load. There will be days when Bumrah won’t take wickets,” Rohit stated during the post-match press conference.

Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj shared four wickets each in the first inning and Rana remained wicketless leaking runs above the economy of 5. Nitish Kumar 🍎Reddy bowled well in his short spell of six overs and dismissed the set batter Marnus Labuschagne.

Young bowler Harshit Rana ꧙had a rough outing, conceding 86 runs in just 16 overs. However, the captain was against blaming the two-Test rookie for the comprehensive defeat in Adelaide.

ﷺ“It’s not right to judge Harshit Rana based on just one Test match. I don’t believe he did anything wrong, and it wouldn’t be fair to drop him without justification. He faced a strong player in Travis Head who put pressure on him. Rana has the heart and guts to compete,” Rohit defended the Delhi speedster.

𒁏Bumrah was the hero of India's win in Perth where he took eight wickets in the match.

ꦦIndian captain stressed the need to take wickets to win the Test matches and hinted at some changes in the playing XI for the next match starting on 14 December in Brisbane.
