Data Debrief: Sydney stronghold

Australia are gunning for their first Test series victory over India since 2015 - and the omens are good for them at the SCG, where they have lost only one of their 13 matches a🦂gainst India in the longest format, way back in January 1978.

In fact, Australia have lost just one of their last 23 Tests at the venue in total (W✃15 D7) – an innings and 83-run loss agꦍainst England in 2011.

Smith, meanwhile, is just 38 short of scoring⛎ 10,000 Test runs - only three Australians (R🅰icky Ponting, Allan Border and Steve Waugh) have previously achieved the feat. He has plundered at least 70 runs in all of his four Test innings against India at the SCG.
