Ashes 2023: James Anderson Back In XI For Fourth Test, Moeen Ali To Bat At Three

The Ben Stokes-led side is trailing the five-match Ashes series 2-1, andꦿ this is the lone change from the winning eleven in the third Test. ♊

England have recalled veteran pacer James Ander🍸son in their playing eleven for the fourth Ashes Test versus A🤪ustralia on Wednesday, July 19. 

Their highest wicket-taker in Test 𝐆matc🥂hes, with a tally of 686 scalps at an average of 26, was rested in the previous Test for workload management. 

He is reinstated in th❀e team, replacing Ollie Robinson, the second-highest wicket-taker (10) for the home s🌼ide in the 2023 edition.

England have decided to give Moeen Ali a long rope while batting at number three, as the all-rounder was slotted in that positio🥃n to fill vice-captain Ollie Pope’s void, who’s out of action because of a dislocated shoulder. Batting in that position, the southpaw scored five runs in the second innings of the Leeds Test.
