Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi All Set To Receive World-class Power Distribution Facility

Uttar Prades꧅h’s Varanasi is all set to receive a world-class power distribution facility, with the Centre sanctioning a project worth Rs 1,314 crore.

Shambhu Kumar, the managing director of Purvanchal Vꦛidyut෴ Vitran Nigam Limited, provided details of the project to reporters on Saturday, reported TOI.

He as per the report said that the project, aimed at ensuring an uninterruptꦑed and tripping-free power supply, had been finalised and sanctioned by the Government of India.

As par📖t of this initiative, 15 new powe𒊎r substations will be established, with an additional 21 substations receiving extra transformers, the report said.

A total of 1,202 💦new transformers will be꧑ installed, while the capacity of 1,955 will be increased, it mentioned.

Kumar noted that Rs 1,040 crore would be allocated f🧸or the city area, pointing out that the entire project had been designed to meet the needs of all sectors, including industries and trade, the report mentioned.
