Tremors Felt In Delhi-NCR After Earthquake Of 5.9 Magnitude Jolts Afghanistan

This was the second time in a week that Delhi was jolted by an earthquake. On January 1, an earthquake of magnitude 3.8 struck Jhajjar in Haryana and tremors wer�🐭�e felt in Delhi and surrounding areas.

An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude jolted Afg❀hanistan on Thursday and strong t♏remors were felt in Delhi and surrounding areas

There was no immediate report of any injury tꦛo anyone or damagꦇe to any property.

Theꦫ earthquake hit the Hindu Kush Region of Afghanistan around 7:55 pm. The epicentre was 79 km south of Fayzabad in Afghanistan at a depth of 200 km.

This was the second time in a week that Delhi was jolted by an earthquake. On January 1,🉐 an earthquake of ma🤪gnitude 3.8 struck Jhajjar in Haryana and tremors were felt in Delhi and surrounding areas.

An earthquake of 5.8-magnitude jolted parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan on Thursday but no loss of life or property had bee💛n reported so far, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC)⛄.

The epicenter of the earthquake was Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region, while its d🐻epth was 173 kilometres, according to the seismological centre.

However, the US Geological Survey claimed that t🥂he magnitude of the quake was recorded as 5.5 on the Richter scale.

The NSMC said that the tremor was felt in Gilgit, Jhelum, Chakwal, Pakpattan, Lakki Marwat, Nowshera, Swat, Malakand and other areas of the co✨untry.

The earthquake's effects were also felt🦹 in Peshawar, Lower Dir, Chitral, Khyber District, Waziristan, Tank, Bajaur, Mardan, Parachinar, Murree, Manse🔯hra, Abbottabad, Multan, Sheikhupura, Chiniot and Kotli.

It was said that the quake not only jolted ma🦩ny parts of Pakistan but it was also felt in neighbouring countries including India.

E𝓰arthquakes are common in Pakistan and a day earlier, a low magnitude earthquake measuriℱng 4.3 on the Richter scale struck parts of Punjab, the NSMC said, adding that its epicenter was 20km away from Sheikhupura city near Lahore.

💞The deadliest quake hit the country in 2005 which killed more than 74,000 people.
