Parliament Adjourned Until Monday Amid Opposition Protests Over Sambhal, Manipur

Parliament proceedings were stalled for the fourth consecutive day amid uproa♛r over the situation in Sambhal, Manipur and allegations of corruption against the Adani Group.

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned until Monday as Opposition members continued thei🌸r protests.

The opposition demanded a full discussion on these pressing matters. Both💞 the houses were adjourned for the day soon after reconvening at 12 noon.

The disruption started when speaker Om Birla in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Cha🍷irperson Jagdeep Dhankhar rejected all 17 notices under Rule 267 of the House – seeking adjournment of the schedul✤ed.

As both Houses were adjourned, Congress MP Karti P. Chidambaram expressed his concerns. He stated, “I hope the government is large-hearted and allows the Opposition the space to raise issues of importance. It is incumbent that the government finds a way i🍸n which the Opposition can have its say and the government can have its way. The government is in a position to give, and the government must give.”

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav with regard to Sambhal violence called for a fair investigation. She emphasized, “We want a fair ♑investigatiไon. This is an important issue. I am hopeful that there will be a fair investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court.”
