πŸ₯‚Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced on Monday that the state government has decided to scrap the existing National Education Policy introduced by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government and formulate a new education policy for the state in the coming year.

ΰΆ£Shivakumar told the media that they held a meeting on Monday with the vice-chancellors and various academicians to examine the National Education Policy of 2021 and decided to scrap it in Karnataka.

𒁃Shivakumar also mentioned that Karnataka has a stronghold of educational institutions and human resources with which they will be able to formulate an education policy for their own state.

πŸ₯‚Shivakumar further said, "From next year we will come up with our education policy. WeΒ will form a committee within a week."

🦩During the BJP rule, Karnataka was the first state to implement the National Education Policy in 2021 in the country.
