♚The Vishnu Deo Sai government envisions a Chhattisgarh where unemployment becomes a thing of the past, recognising that the state’s progress is deeply tied to the empowerment of its youth. Chief Minister Sai is committed to transforming Chhattisgarh into a developed state by 2047, and this dream will come true only if there are equal and good opportunities for healthcare, education and livelihood in the state.

✱Through focused and strategic efforts, the Sai government is already delivering promising results. With a special emphasis on the tribal population, the administration has prioritised inclusive development, fulfilling its commitments under the ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ programme. Notably, Chhattisgarh’s Development Potential Index (DPI) score of 37.0 surpasses states like West Bengal (42.9) and Uttarakhand (41.0), showcasing its potential for economic growth and employment opportunities.

ꦰA recent survey by the National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) places Chhattisgarh fifth among states with the lowest unemployment rates in India. This achievement is a testament to Chief Minister Sai’s initiatives in industrialisation, mining, and addressing socio-economic challenges.

Government Jobs and Employment Opportunities

✱Under Chief Minister Sai’s leadership, the Finance Ministry has approved the recruitment of over 7,000 government posts across various departments, with more proposals in the pipeline. As part of Sainomics, creating diverse and accessible employment opportunities remains a top priority.

Clear and Comprehensive Employment Policy

🌳To safeguard against employment crises, the government has introduced a robust employment policy focusing on industrial and mining development. By leveraging the state’s resources effectively, this policy aims to generate local job opportunities. A need-based curriculum aligned with market demands is being developed to equip the workforce with relevant skills, ensuring industries can source talent locally.

▨The MSME sector is a critical pillar of this strategy, with the government launching initiatives to support entrepreneurs through financial aid, streamlined regulations, and dedicated training programs. This sector holds immense potential for job creation.

Agriculture as a Key Job Generator

༒Agriculture is set to become a major employment driver in Chhattisgarh, second only to MSMEs. The government is modernising the agricultural sector with technology-driven practices and promoting the cultivation of superfoods under PM Modi’s Millets campaign.
