🍰Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi has dismissed the remarks made by senior BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri. After attending the JPC meeting for 'One Nation, One Election,' the Wayanad MP dismissed the "ridiculous remarks".

🍰"It is a ridiculous remark. He never spoke about his cheeks. All this is unnecessary. During the elections, we should talk about the important issues of the people of Delhi," Gandhi was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Ahead of the Delhi Polls 2025, BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri came under fire for sexist remarks made towards Priyanka Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi.

🐭While he has "expressed regret" for his statements, the latest reports state that the BJP may be looking to replace Bidhuri as the candidate from Kalkaji due to the recent controversy.

What Did Bidhuri Say?

♕Speaking at a rally in Kalkaji, the BJP leader was heard as saying - "Lalu had said that he will develop roads in Bihar as smooth as Hema Malini’s cheeks. Lalu had lied. But I assure you just as we made the roads in Okhla and Sangam Vihar, we will make all the roads in Kalkaji, sudhar camp, inner and outer roads like Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks.”

His remark soon went viral, earning backlash from the Aam Aadmi Party, Congress and condemnation from the BJP.

🌱Delhi will head to the polls on February 5, 2025. As per the announcement by the Election Commission of India, around 1.55 crore voters will cast their vote in this year's assembly elections. The counting of votes is scheduled for February 8.
