✤The Centre has proposed a meeting with the protesting farmers in Chandigarh and it is being examined by the farmer leaders currently. A delegation of Central government officials led by joint secretary rank officer Priya Ranjan met Dallewal at Khanauri and held a meeting with the representatives of Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, reported PTI.

ওThe meeting proposal comes after the farmers camped for 11 months at the Shambhu and Khanauri borders in Haryana and made several attempts to reach Delhi so that the Centre would listen to their demands.

ඣThe protesting farmers are asking for legal guarantee of minimum support price from the Centre among other demands. 111 farmers at Khanauri border are also fasting since January 15 in solidarity with Jagjit Singh Dallewal who has been fasting for 54 days despite deteriorating health conditions.

ও Farmers earlier said Dallewal's condition is "critical". Dallewal has lost about 20kg and has refused any medical aid during his fasting, they said.

🉐On Saturday, 10 more farmers began a fast-unto-death at the Khanauri border point. The number of fasting farmers has now increased to 121.
