A Tesla Cybertruck stuffed with ♍firework mortars and camp fuel canisters exploded in Las Vegas early Wednesday. The vehicle was parked outside US President-elect Donald Trump's Las Vegas hotel.

Quoting Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and Clark County Fire Department officials, the Associated Press reported that one person died inside the futuri🗹stic pickup truck while seven others suffered minor 💧injuries.

The explosion in Las Vegas took place on the ওsame day when a man in a horrifying attack near the iconic Bourbon Street drove a pickup truck into crowds of revelers early Wednesday, killing 15 and injuring dozens more.

The scary development sparked an intense investigation that also encompasses a terrorism angle and a possible link with the New Orleans attack. “We are absolutely investigating any connectivity to what happened in New Orleans as well as other attacks that have been occurring around the world,” said Sheriff McMahill. “We aren't ruling anyt🅺hing out.”

What did the police say?

Commenting on the ongoing investigation, acting special agent in꧂ charge for the FBI's Las Vegas office Jeremy Schwartz said, “Our number one goal is to ensure that we have the proper identification of the subject involved in this incident.”

“Following that, our second objective 🐻is to determine whether this was an act of terrorism or not”, Schwartz further added.

Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill said authorities know who rented the truck with the Turo app in Colo🎃rado but are not releasing the nam🐎e until investigators determine if it is the same person who died. A Turo spokesperson did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment.

Elon Musk shares charging station video with police

As 🅺per the video shared by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the vehicle arrived in Las Vegas at about 7:30 am before driving about an hour into the valet area of the Trump Internatio⛦nal Hotel, where it sat 15 to 20 seconds before the explosion occurred.

The video 🐼also captured the moment the vehicle got stuffed with a tumble of charred fireworks mortars, cannisters and other explosive devices.

Commenting on the development, Musk said Wednesday afternoon on X, “we have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself. All vehicle telemetওry was positive at the time of the explosion.”

Musk recently entered Trump's inner circle and 🐻attended a New Year's Eve party at the Trump's Ma🦩r-a-Lago resort in Florida that was not attended by the president elect.
