Eight years ago in 2015, Harvard University caused a stir by allowing applicants to choose gender-neutral alternatives like🌺 "ze," "e," and "they" on registration forms.  The University of Vermont became the first university to permit students to choose their names and pronouns, a year before Harvard University did so. Being able to express oneself beyond genders has s🌜ilently become a popular mode of expression amongst the youth. The trend has even found acceptance in the professional world, where workers are proudly flaunting their pronouns on linkedin. 

There are various pronouns like he/him, she/her, Ze/Hir, Xe/Xem, She/they and He/they and They/them. Among all, 'They/them' pronoun is considered as a gender neutral pronoun used by those who don't want to be associate𒊎d with male or females. This pronoun because of its neutrality towards gender has been adopted💛 by various celebrities over the past many years. Some of the names of the famous celebrities using they/them as pronoun are- 

Demi Lovato (they/them)
Singer Demi Lovato revealed that she was nonbinary through an Instagram post in 2021. Following that, Lovato switched her pronoun to they/them. "I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary and will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them🎐 moving forward," they said.

The 28-year-old c🍰losed the description of their picture by saying, "I’m doing this for those out there that haven't been able to share who they truly are with their loved ones". The post served as a launchpad for their brand-new podcast, 4D with Demi Lovato.

Sam Smith (they/them)
Singer Sam Smith announced being a nonbinary individual through a Twitter post in 2017 and that Smi🐬th’s gender pronouns are they/them. In threads on Twitter, Sam said, "After a lifetime of being at war with my gender I've decided I am changing my pronouns to THEY/THEM ❤️ after a lifetime of being at war with my gender I've decided to to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out…". 

Indya Moore (they/them)
In an interview with Variety, Pose star Indya Moore identifies them with the pronouns like they/them. 
Moore is an actor and model by professiꦛon and is transgender and non-binary. Indya was named by Time as one of the 100 most influential women in the world in 2019.
