A 15-year-old female student has been identified as the shooter who opened fire at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin. The female student opened fire inside a study hall at the private Christian🅘 school, 🎀killing a teacher and a teenager.
Six others were injured in Monday's school s🎉hooting, including two st💎udents who were in critical condition.
The 15-year-old suspect was found by officials wi꧅th a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect - Natalie Rupnow died on her way to the hospital.
As the shooting took꧋ place, echoes of "Lockdow🎉n, Lockdown" took over the school, prompting students and teachers to take shelter. Officials reached the scene after a second grade student made a 911 call.
As per Barbara Wiers, the director of the elementary and school 🍒relations𝄹, safety drills and lockdowns are often conducted at the school, but they are accompanied with an announcement of a drill.
When they h😼eard, ‘Lockdown, lockdown,’ they knew it was real,” she said. Wiers added that the school does not have metal detectors but uses other security measures including cameras.
Who Was Natalie Rupnow?
Natalie Rupnow, who also went by the name "Samantha", has been identified as the shooter. As per reports, she was a student at 🗹Abunda൲nt Life Christian School. Speaking to CNN, sources stated that she brought a handgun to the campus and opened fire at 11 AM.
"She was a student at the school and evidence suggests that she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wo♚und,” said police officials.
"We can never accept senseless violence that traumatizes children, their ไfamilies, and tears entire communities apart,” said Biden.
Wisconsin's shooting on Monday marks the 83rd such incident across th🍒e United States since the start of 2024.
