Following Justin Trudeau's exit as the Canadian Prime Minister and leader of the Liberal Party, US President-elect Donald Trump has once again pitched the idea of Canada mergi🧜ng with the United States as its 51st s🍷tate.

Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, Trump called for Canada𓆉's merger and stated that it the country does move in with the US, it will be "secure from th✱e threats from Russia and China."

Since his landslide victory in the US Presidential Elections in 2024, Trump has threatened neighbouring countries of Mexico and Canada with in🍎creased tariffs and taxes.

Shortly after his meeting with Trudeau at Mar-A-Lago in Florida, Trump took several jibes in Canada and proposed that it become America's 51st state. Trump has also referred to the Canadian Prime Minister of "Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada"

After Justin Trudeau announced his resignation on Monday, Trump took to social media and shared that the US and Canada together would be a "grea♔t nation".

"Many people in Canada LOVE being the 51st State. The United States can no 🅺longer suffer the massive Trade Deficits and Subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat. Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned. If Canada merged with the U.S., there would be no Tariffs, taxes would go way down, and they would be TOTALLY SECURE from the threat of the Russian and Chinese Ships that are constantly surrounding them. Together, what a great Nation it would be!!!," said Trump on Truth Social
