On November 29th, 2024, During inspection with Praveen Kumar, Managing Director, Shri S.P. Verma, Group General Manager (GGM), Business Development & Business Analytics, DFCCIL, along with Shri Sandesh Srivastava ED/DFCCIL, Shri Manish Gupta, CGM/Vadodara Unit and a team from the corporate office and the Vadodara unit, reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives and engaged with investors and developers to explore plans for establishing additional business faci💯lities and cargo terminals under the Gati Shakti Terminal Policy. The team also assessed the status of proposed locations for Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals (GCTs) at New Udhana, New Verediya & New Makarpura and reviewed the progress to expedite commissioning of upcoming GCTs ꦯat New Sanjali and New Gothangam.

The status at these location are:

New Udhna, New Verdiya and New Makarpura  have ♚😼been identified as a promising location for establishing a Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal under Schedule-II. These locations have been presented to several interested parties, who have expressed keen interest in investing and conducting business operations from these locations.

Detailed discussions were also held regarding the potential for Trucks on Train (ToT) loading and war🌱ehouse construction, with all queries addressed to the satisfaction of the interested stakeholders. Additionally, the prospects for high-speed small cargo loading from this site were explored, highlighting its st🌟rategic potential for efficient freight operations.

New Sanjali :  Under construction as part of Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal Schedule-I (Terminal on Private Land) by M/s Sawariya Shakti.

  • Infrastructure: Total of 5 lines (1 R&D line, 1 Engine Escape⛦ cum R&D line, 2 Handling cum Stabling lines, Shunting Neck). Huge size of warehouses including refrigerated storage etc.

  • Existing warehouses of the party have also been🥂 inspected a🔴long with advanced methodology & technology adopted for stacking and storage of cargo.

  • Major commodities expected to be dealt are Salt, Pharmaceuticals, Trucks on Train,&😼nbsp; Containers, Marine gypsum, etc.

  • Estimated private investment: ₹38.76 crore.

  • Infrastructure: Includes one 750-meter goods handling line with a 20🍰-ꦫmeter-wide platform

  • Major commodities expected to be dealt ar✱e containers and bulk cargo.

  • Estimated private investment: ₹20.6 crore.

On November 30, 2024, Shri S🎀.P. Verma, Group General Manager (Business Development & Business Analytics), visited the Operation Control Centre in Ahmedabad and chaired a meeting with Shri Praveen Tiwari, AGM/OP&BD, Shri J.K. Agrawal, JGM/OP&BD, Chandra Shekhar Sharma, Manager,BD. The meetings were attended by prospective investors and key stakeholders, including representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, CONCOR, Thar Dry Ports, Ultratech, Amul and others.

The discussions centered on promoting the establishment of new business facilities and cargo terminals under the Gati Shakti Terminal Policy along the DFC corridor. 🐬Shri Verma highlighted DFCCIL’s innovative initiatives, such as Trucks on Train and High-Speed Small Cargo, and emphasized the organization's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and entering into Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to strengthen the logistics network and drive economic growth in the region and DFCCIL corridors.
