The Congress party on Tuesday accused BJP candidate Harish Khurana from Delhi's Mo💞ti Nagar constituency of making misogynistic and derogatory remarks about women, while also questioning the silence of the BJP leadership in addressing these comments.
During a press conference, Alka Lamba, the president of the Mahila Cong🐓ress, played a video in which Khurana is reportedly heard using offensive language against women and alleging how political tickets are obtained in the BJP. In the video, Khurana also claims he was promised Rs 2.5 crore by the BJP for distributing funds in slum areas but received only Rs 70 lakh.
The Congress leader further questioned top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president JP Nadda, and New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj, about their stance on the derogatory remarks mꩲade byও their party candidate.
In addition, Lamba presented a separate video showing a car with a Punjab government sticker, allegedly carrying liquor, money, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) publicity materials. She accused AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal of insulting Atishi, his nominated chief ministerial candidate, 🌌by calling her a “temporary chief minister.”
