MTV's latest offering, 'Love Temptation,' is creating quite a buzz in the world of reality TV. The show features Karan Kundrra as its charismatic host, who brings a wealth of experience in the genre. In a recent conversation, Karan shared insights into what makes 'Love Temptation' unique, his experiences as a host, and much more. The Indian adaptation of the series made its debut on JioCinema on November 3, with Mouni Roy and Karan Kundrra serving as co-hosts.
In an interview with Outlook's Abeer Anjum, Karan talked about 'Love Temptation,' his experience hosting reality shows, the decision to leave Roadies, and his support to Munawar Faru🌱qui in the ongoing 'Bigg Boss' season.
'Love Temptation' is an ambitious international adaptat▨ion of the hit show 'Temptation Island,' customized for the Indian audience. According to Karan Kundrra, this adaptation is not merely a clone of its Western counterpart. He emphasized that the Indian versio🌠n has its own distinct flavor and approach. Karan further explained, "The approach is also very different because this show is about relationships, psychology, and reactions. It's more of a social experiment, in simple words, without revealing too much about the format. There's no comparison; they are all very different shows."
One of th😼e key differentiators, as Karan pointed out, is the diverse reactions of Indian contestants when faced with the same situations as their Western count𝔉erparts. The adaptation is finely tuned to the Indian context, ensuring that the show captures the nuances of Indian relationships.
As a seasoned host with a wealth of experience in reality shows, Karan Kundrra was asked about the challenges he anticipates in hosting 'Love Temptation'. He shared his perspective, saying, "What we are trying to do here is to work on the i🥀ndividuals first, to help them understand themselves better, their likes, dislikes, and what a relationship means to them. There are no external opinions; ൲it's purely their choices and actions. A lot is to be learned here."
Karan's own experience as a reality show contestant has provided him with a unique insight into the minds of participants. He added, "I get emotionally connected with all the people on the show. We're here for a journey, a social experimen𝔍t, and we will be all hearts. I want to be real and always speak the truth.&qu♏ot;
Drawing from his experience in shows like 'Roadies,' where he was known for his straightforward approach, Karan Kundrra assured viewers that they can expect a similar honesty on ꦿ"Love Temptation." He🌟 said, "I don't intend to sugarcoat anything. I understand certain things because of my interactions with people. Like an elder brother, I would be very blunt for their own good."
Karan also mentioned his thoughts on the ongoing 'Bigg Boss season 17.' He revealed, "Actually, the day we started shooting for 'Temptation,' is when 'Bigg Boss' came on air, and we were shooting on an island with hardly any network. So I haven't seen much of it, but apparently, it's been d🐠oing really well. Congratulations to the team."
Karan Kundrra also opened up about his connection with fellow comedian Munawar Faruqui. He expressed, "As of now🍷, I haven't seen much of the show, but whatever snippets I've seen, I have a ♑soft spot for my brother Munawar. I'm curious about how he's doing."
Karan Kundrra also shed light on his decision to leave "Roadie♊s." He explained, "🔴;The shooting schedule for 'Roadies' got delayed, and I had already committed to another project, 'Mubarakan,' which was supposed to be shot in London. So I chose to experiment, challenge myself, and explore new opportunities."
Despite the shift in his career trajectory, Karan is conten🍸t and is currently hosting 'Love Temptat🍸ion' with dedication.
