NBA 2024-25: Charlotte Hornets Beat Los Angeles Lakers In Close Thriller
Miles Bridges scored 29 points, and LaMelo Ball contributed 27, leading the Charlotte Hornets to a surprising 100-97 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. LeBron James tallied 26 points, with 16 of those coming in the fourth quarter; however, he missed two critical 3-point attempts just before the buzzer. Luka Doncic recorded 14 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists in his third game with the Lakers. This loss marked the Lakers' second consecutive defeat following the All-Star break, having also lost to Utah. Doncic struggled throughout the game, shooting 5 of 18 from the field and just 1 of 9 from beyond the arc. The game was rescheduled from January due to the devastating wildfires in Southern California.
