A senior doctor has been booked for allegedly raping two female patients at the SCB Med🥃ical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cutta🍨ck on Tuesday.
Odisha: The state’s Health and Family Welfare Department has reportedly set up a three-member inquiry c꧒ommittee to probe into the allegations against the re🐼sident doctor.
A senior doctor has been booked for allegedly raping two female patients at the SCB Med🥃ical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cutta🍨ck on Tuesday.
Reportedly, the alleged incident took place on Sunday when the women had come to the cardiol💯ogy department of the state’s ✅premier government hospital for an echocardiogram test.
“The Mangalabag police station has received a written comꩵplaint from the two patients on Monday and a case was registered,” Cuttack Additional Deputy Commission✱er of Police (ADCP) Anil Mishra told PTI.
Meanwhile, the state’s Health and Family Welfare Department has set up a three-member inquiry committee to probe into the allegations against the resident doctor, reports ♉said.
Besides, the accused doctor was reportedly beaten up by so𝔍me relatives of the patients, though the state’🌸s police has maintained that it has not received any formal complaint in this regard.
Local reports said the accused doctor of the SCB Me♌dical College and Hospital is now undergoing treatment in the ICU after he was allegedly thrashed by the victims' relatives after the incident came to light.
Meanwhile, the police said a case will be registered in case the concerned doctor regi▨sters a complaint with the department.
