IMD Weather Forecast: Cold Wave Alert For North India As Delhi Temp Drops; Tamil Nadu Braces For Rain

🐲IMD has predicted a cold wave for Northern India, especially the states of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. As per IMD scientist Soma Sen, the temperatures are expected to drop by 1-2 degrees and the cold wave is expected to remain for one or two days across North and Central India.

𝓰Furthermore, a Western Disturbance, isolated rainfall and snowfall is expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and other regions on December 16 and 17.

♔Delhi recorded its coldest temperature of the season as temperature dropped below five degrees Celsius. As per the weather department, the temperature of the national capital dropped to 4.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

𒆙In Rajasthan, a severe cold wave warning has been issued as temperatures dip below zero degrees Celsius. In Sikar district's Fatehpur, the temperature dropped to minus 1.3 degrees.

ไAs North India braces for another drop in temperatures, the South is bracing for more rain. A rainfall alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu.

💫Puducherry, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rayalaseema, and South Interior Karnataka are also expected to receive heavy rainfall next week.
