ꦇUS President Donald Trump met with tech mogul and his chief of the Department of Government Efficiency Elon Musk on Tuesday. During this meeting, Trump ordered US agencies to work with Musk to reduce the number of federal employees.

🌞Standing next to the Resolute Desk with his four-year-old, Musk made a rare appearance at the White House to defend the swift and extensive cuts he is pushing across the federal government. Trump praised the Tesla CEO's work with DOGE as he signed an executive order to downsize the federal workforce.

Since his inauguration, Trump has been criticised for giving Elon Musk 🐠an open hand and "unaccountable power" within the US government.

ඣAmid these concerns, Musk has pledged to be as transparent as possible and proceeded to fire inspector general for the U.S. Agency for International Development.

🌳The tech mogul continued to defend his position in the administration as he took questions from reporters.

𒁃"You can't have an autonomous federal bureaucracy. You have to have one that's responsive to the people," Musk said, referring to the bureaucracy as an "unconstitutional" fourth branch of government that "had more power than any elected representative."

✅Firing back at the criticism that DOGE continues to operate secretly, Musk continued his vow for transparency, DOGE and Musk continue to provide with no information on who has been employed, where it operates from and what actions it is taking inside the government.
