In the first three days of 2025, Israeli strikes killed at least 76 people across Gaza. The first of these attacks was on New Year’s Day when Israeli forces attacked Jabalia in northern Gaza, the Bureij refugee camp and Gaza City in central Gaza, and the southern city of Khan Younis killing 26 people, Al-Jazeera reported. The other airstrikes killed at least 50 people, including several children, across the Gaza Strip, hitting Hamas security officers and an Israeli-declared humanitarian zone, reports showed. This attack came in when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said he had authorised a delegation from the Mossad intelligence agency, the Shin Bet internal securiꦇty agency and the military to continue negotiations in Qatar toward a ceasefire deal.
