ELECRAMA 2025: A Confluence Of Innovation And Sustainable Vision

🐼ELECRAMA 2025, the world’s largest T&D expo, spotlighted sustainability, digitalization, and green tech. Leaders shared innovations in supply chains, automation, and net zero goals.

ELECRAMA 2025 represents the largest independent event focused on electrical equipment alongside its allied sectors and operates as the biggest T&D (Transmission and Distribution) exhibition worldwide. The gathering features all necessary power solutions that cover generation through distribution for worldwide energy requirements. ELECRAMA 2025 provides an industry platform to host discussions about thought leadership through multiple technical conclaves and industry summits. The ELECRAMA 2047 vision focuses on three primary themes of the energy transition, digitalization, and supply chain security to drive an increase of electricity penetration in transportation, buildings, and industry through the development of green technologies including storage solutions and green hydrogen value chains. Exhibitors from twelve nations gathered at the event to contribute over 1,000 entities. They anticipate that business inquiries will exceed $20 billion and will draw about 400,000 business visitors this year. The event attracted more than 500 international buyers♑ because of its worldwide significance. Exclusive interviews were done by the Outlook Business team with industry leaders who spoke about their work on combining sustainability practices with innovation in the electrical sector.

In one engaging discussion, Dr. Suryanarayana, COO of Domestic Business at TransRail Lighting Limited, outlined the company’s commitment to reducing environmental impact across their infrastructure projects.  “Sustainability is a key focus for us. One of the major considerations is reducing the environmental footprint of our infrastructure🌺,” he noted, highlighting innovative monopole designs that require a fraction of the land space compared to traditional tower structures. This reduction in spatial footprint not only conserves land but also preserves local vegetation, a commitment that underscores TransRail’s long-standing legacy and forward-thinking approach.

Meanwhile, the dialogue with Hyosung’s Director of Sales, Hyoung Dong Choi, reflected a broader industry trend toward creating robust, eco-friendly supply chains. “Sustainability for us extends beyond our manufacturing processes to include building a robust supply chain ecosystem🎃,” he shared. Choi’s remarks underscored the challenges and opportunities in sourcing sustainable components in a rapidly evolving market, as the company strives to transition from conventional to advanced, high-performance equipment.

Sterlite’s vision also resonated deeply at the event. Manish K. Srivastava, Director and Business Head – Overhead, elaborated on the company’s holistic approach. “When it comes to sustainability, we adopt a circular economy approach that focuses on what we procure, what we consume and produce, and what we deliver,🌳” he explained. This commitment is reflected in Sterlite’s efforts to source green aluminium, embrace renewable energy in manufacturing, and adhere to a ‘zero landfill’ policy—practices that aim to minimize environmental impact across the entire value chain.

In the realm of EPC projects, Devesh Goel, Director at Laser, provided insights into how sustainability is woven into everyday operations. “Sustainability is very important to us. We focus on recycling our raw materials to minimize production losses🐠,” Goel remarked. His emphasis on using advanced materials and efficient machinery demonstrates Laser’s drive to not only cut costs but also reduce waste and lower its overall carbon footprint.

In discussing sustainability, Shreegopal Kabra, President of RR Kabel, emphasized that cost should not be the primary factor. He stated, "When it comes to sustainability, cost should not be the primary consideration. We are responsible for creating a healthier planet for future generations. In the short term, our focus on sustainable practices may result in lower profits over the next four to five years, but ultimately, the long-term benefits far outweigh the initial costs. We must look beyond immediate expenses and concentrate on the larger impact—ensuring that we leave behind a better, more sustainable environment for those who come after us."

National infrastructure efforts are not left behind either. Anil Prasad Rath, President – EPC at Cabcon, stressed the importance of aligning large-scale projects with environmental stewardship. “We believe that environmental stewardship and CSR are fundamental to our operations. By prioritizing initiatives like Viksit Bharat and the Net Zero Goal, we ensure that our work meets current energy needs while safeguarding the environment for future generations♏,” he said. Cabcon’s work on reconductoring projects, alongside advancements in solar energy and smart metering, reflects its steadfast dedication to sustainable development.

Adding a materials perspective to the discussion, Shankar J. Kaushik, President of sales and Marketing at SumiP, outlined how innovative fiberglass solutions are challenging traditional metal components. “Our sustainable approach means our products consume less energy, offer up to five times the lifespan of metal alternatives, and ultimately result in a much lower carbon footprint,ﷺ” Kaushik observed. This transition not only promises improved efficiency but also marks a significant step towards reducing environmental impact in industries long reliant on metal.

In the arena of automation and smart manufacturing, Sanjeev Srivastava, Head of Automation at Delta Electronics India, described a future where efficiency meets sustainability. “Our products are designed to be sustainable with a long lifespan. They streamline the manufacturing process, reducing the burden on production facilities🌠,” he noted. Delta Electronics’ dedication to local manufacturing and energy-efficient product lines is a testament to its alignment with both the Make in India initiative and global green standards. Building on this focus on efficiency, the conversation shifted to the role of precise measurement in achieving sustainability goals.

Highlighting the role of technology in the journey to net zero, Mr. Suket Singhal, Group CEO and MD at Secure, shared their business’s approach with us. “We provide technology to all users of energy—utilities, industrial, or commercial. Measurement is the first step to improve, and the transition to net zero is complex. By measuring step-by-step, we can take concrete actions to reduce energy usage for the same output and integrate more green energy,” Mr. Singhal explained. Secure’s commitment to sustainability was evident in their booth design at the event, where only 2% of materials used were not reusable—a meticulous effort to ensure every component, from nuts to bolts, would find a second life. Offering advice to other businesses, the representative added, “Let the teams come up with ideas. Young people find this meaningful at heart—they have brilliant solutions. Pair their creativity with the experience of seasoned team members to turn those ideas into reality. It’s a simple step that can lead to lasting change.”

Rounding off the spectrum of sustainable innovations, CMO and Founder of Servokon, Mr. Haji Kamruddin succinctly captured the essence of the event’s eco-conscious spirit: “Incorporating renewable energy into our operations is our top priority at the moment, as it is both environmentally friendly and an efficient business choiceꦜ.” This sentiment resonated across the board, reinforcing the idea that renewable energy adoption is not merely a regulatory necessity but a smart and future-proof business strategy.

🉐The recent ELECRAMA 2025 event made a significant impact on the energy and technology industries as it came to its conclusion. The event provided industry leaders the chance to engage through discussions where CEOs set net-zero emission targets for manufacturing alongside engineers who shared knowledge on enhancing dated power grid infrastructure. The focus on sustainability was clear throughout, which was evident in the detailed presentations and the resolve of attendees.

🐈The exhibition showcased advancements such as AI-optimized energy management systems and hydrogen energy hubs, signaling a shift in industry priorities toward addressing the climate crisis. The implementation of green hydrogen on a large scale along with establishing profitable operations without compromising environmental targets still presents unresolved challenges. During ELECRAMA 2025 the exhibition demonstrated new solutions for the energy sector as businesses intensified their commitment to achieve meaningful changes globally.
