๐Vidaamuyarchi release date: Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan starrer will not be released on Pongal 2025.
Ajith-Trisha Krishnan starrer Vidaamuyarchi, which was set for Pongal 2025 release, has been postponed. Magizh Thirumeni's directorial was scheduled to hit the theatres on January 10. Lyca Productions announced that Vidaamuyarchi has been pushed due to unavoidable circumstances.
๐ผThe production house issued a statement on their official X handle that read, "Due to unavoidable circumstances, our film 'Vidaamuyarchi' will not be releasing on Pongal day. We wish all our fans and well-wishers a prosperous year ahead (sic)."
Vidaamuyarchi teaser was unveiled last year in November. Apart from Ajith๐ and Trisha, the action drama also stars Regina Cassandra, Arjun Sarja, Arav and Ramya Subramanian in significant roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music and Om Prakash has done the editing.
The one-minute-48-second teaser of Vidaamuyarchi introduced audiences to the characters, gave glimpses of exotic locations, and was filled with suspense with its gripping background score. Vidaamuyarchi was entirely shot in Azerbaijan.
Recently, a song called Sawadeeka๐, from the upcoming film was released which received overwhelming response from music lovers.
The film is said to be based on Jonathan Mostow's 1997 film Breakdown.
