Rishab Shetty To Lead 'The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj' I First Look As The Maratha Warrior Unveiled
Directed by filmmaker Sandeep Singh, Rishabꦏ Shetty starrer Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will release in 2027.
Rishab announced the project on the Maratha warrior on social media. He wrote on X, "This is ♎isn’t just a film, it’s a battle cry to honour a warrior who fought against all odds, challenged the might of the mighty Mughal empire, and forged a legacy that c👍an never be forgotten".
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be directed by filmmaker Sandeep Singh, who has produced acclaimed Hindi films such as Aligarh, Jhund, PM Narendra Modi and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar among others.
Apart from this, Rishab Shetty has Kantara: Chapter 1, the prequel to his blockbuster Kantara in the works. Written and directed by Rishab Shetty himself, it will be released worldwide on October 2, 2025. The Kannada superstar will also play the lead in Jai Hanuman, which is a sequel to director Prasanth Varma’s Hanu-Man (2023).
