Key areas along the highway, including Lambagad, Nandprayag, Sonala, and Barrage Kunj, have been blocked by debris. The situation worsened when the alternate route between Sakot and Nandprayag, typically used in emergencies, was also blocked by landslides, leaving travellers stranded.
