Shakib Al Hasan hails from Bangladesh. He represents Bangladesh's national cricket team across all three formats - Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Shakib is an all-rounder, contributing with both bat and ball. Shakib's cricketing journey began in Magura, where he played age-group cricket for Magura District. He showcased his all-round abilities from an ea𒐪rly age, excelling with both bat and ball.

In 2005, Shakib made his domestic debut for Khulna Division in the National Cricket Leaꦇgue. His consistent performances in domestic cricket paved the way for his international debut in 2006.
