After Manu Bhaker's individual bronze in 10m women's pistol and her team bronze wit Sarabjot Singh in mixed team pistol event, India🌸n shooters will again be inౠ action today.

Rajeshwari Kumari and Shreyasi Singh will represent India in the women's trap qualification where Day 2 takes place today. Both of them are 🥃currently out of the ♔final qualification zone but they will try to break into the top 6 to get an entry into the medal match.

11 medal events took place on Tuesday, instead of the scheduled 12 as the men's triathlon was postponed due to river Seine's pollu﷽tion level.

The triathlon race format at the Olympics for bওoth the women's and men's events consist of a 1500m swim, a 40km cycle and a 10km run. It is scheduled for an 11:30 IST start.

After days of delays and uncertainty over water quality in the Seine River, the women's and men's Olympic triathlon races will go forward Wednesday with a swim in the famed Paris waterway.

The decision to go ahead with the Seine swim for the triathlon competitions🐼 is a big win for the city, Olympics organizers and the athletes. Officials undertook an ambitious plan, including 1.4 billion euros ($1.5 billion) in infrastructure improvements, to clean up the long-polluted Seine and have been steadfast in their insistence that the swimming portion of the triathlon🍸 and the marathon swimming events next week could safely be held in the river. Indian women shoo꧒ters Shreyasi Singh (ranked 22) and Rajeshwari Kumari (ranked 21) are in action today at the Women's Trap Shooting qualification round. However, both of them are almost outside of the final qualification zone.

In the shooting trap qualification stage, there will be five rounds of 25 targ﷽ets each. The top six athletes will make it to the final matches. In case scores are tied amongജ multiple shooters, the countback rule will be applied to place the rankings.

Four Indian shooters are in action in two different events 🎶today at the Paris Olympics 2024.

50m rifle 3 Positions Men's Qualification: Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Swapnಞil Kusale

Women's Trap Qualificati♛on: Shreyasi Sinꦏgh and Rajeshwari Kumari

The 50m rifle's 3 positions are fired in three body positions - Kneeling, Prone and Standing. Before the match begins a 15-minute preparation and sighting time is provided to the shooters. Within t🗹he duration of 1 hour 30 minutes, a total of 60 shots are fired. The changeover time between kneeling to prone is seven minutes. From prone to standing, the shooters will get nine minutes of changeover time.

Aishwary Pratap ꦍSingh Tomar, wearing the bib number 1450, drops two in his first kneeling series. However, he soon improves by hitting seven 10s in a row to stay at 9th.

Kusale, wearing bib number 14♉45 kicked off rolling with seven 10s off the first eight shots and then hit two 99s to stay 6th.

After the Indians switched over to the Prone position within the allotted time of seven minutes, a 100 on 100 came from Aishwary, 🐻proꦆpelling him into sixth place. Brilliance at its peak!

Aishwary scores 199/200 in prone and drops to 7🍷th from 3rd in the 🥀first series.

Kusale has managed to stay in the top 10, with five consecutive🔥 10s after scoring a 98 in the first prone series.

The swimming triathlon event is now witnessing ♕the four women contesting for the three medals.

Six shooters are tied at 396 and four shooters are tied at 395 and꧙ another four shooters are tied at 394. Now, the cut-o🌞ff score will be applied to the eighth spot for the final.

Aishwary's Setback

Not a good time for the Indian shooters. Aishwary, with 9s in his first standing series, is now languishing in the 13th spot currently with 95 points. The second-standing series woul🔯d demand a strong comeback in order to book a spot in the final 8.

Aishwary Never Recovered!

Aishwary Pℱratap Singh Tomar is now out of contention. The 50m 3 position faced a setback dropping himself on 13th and that is the point from where no improvements were made. Swapnil Kusale is currently in the 7th spot are hoping to make it ꧃to the final.

An impressive tally of 60 shots with 590 points handed Swapnil Kusale a place in the 🍸top eight shooღters who are qualified for the final round. He had 38 inner 10s -- enough for a 7th-place finish.

Shreyasi Singh and Rajeshwari Kumari are not in a good position in the women's trap shooting qualification round at the Paris Olympics. Currently, they are rank💎ed 24th (90) and 25th (90), respectively.

Lakshya Sen Vs Jonatan Christie

Sen wins the first game with a 21-19 margin, showcasing many sensational, critical moves. The Ind🔜ian has surged to a three-point lead in the second game too, after being down 2-8 in the opener, there has been nothing but improvemen♌ts. Lakshya is near to book a spot in the round of 32.

On the other hand, PV Sindhu earned a second straight win at the Paris Olympics adv🍃ancing to the Round of 16 of the women's singles badminton event. She outshined Estonia's Kristin Kuuba in the last Group M game of both the🔯 shuttlers, winning 21-5, 21-10.

Laksh🌸ya claimed victory in the group stage match against the reigni🔜ng All England and Asian champion Jonatan Christie and stormed into round of 32.

India's Sreeja Akula is up against Zeng J𝄹ian of Singapore in the Wom꧑en's Singles round of 32 and she has taken a 3-1 lead in the match.

The Women's synchronized 10 metres witnessed yet another champion fro🅠m China as Quan Hongchan an🅺d Chen Yuxi flawlessly earned 359.10 points throughout their five dives to win the seventh Olympic gold medal in a row in this event for the People's Rep. of China.

From the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Jo Jin Mi and Kim Mi Rae secured their side's first medal (silver) in diving. The pair of Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix aℱnd Lois Toulson claimed bronze, the first medal in this event for Great Brita𒁃in!

The Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist and reigning world champion Lovlina Borgohain has won her♐ round of 16 bout against Norway's Sunniva Hofstad. She emerges victor by a 5-0 margin in the women's 75kg category to advance to the quarter-finals. Never really seemed in danger of losing this bout, and will now look to assure herself of a medal with a win in the last-eight stage. But it will not be easy against the Tokyo silver medallist Li Qian of China. The quart▨er-final is slated for August 4.

After some disappointing results in the team event and ranking round, India's veteran archer Deepika Kumari comes good in her opening match of the individual section. She fights back from an early setbaꦐck and just about wins the match against Estonia's Reena Parnat by a narrow 6-5 margin. Deepika's round of 32 match will also be played in some time. The Netherlands have clinched the Olympic gold in the men's quadruple sculls ☂rowing event with a time of 5:42.00, successfully defending their title. Italy take silver, finishing with 5:44.40, while Poland secure bronze with a 🌌time of 5:44.59. Here’s how the podium looks:

As is the nature of competitive arꦑchery, Deepika Kumari is back in minutes after her round of 64 victory for the next match. She is now facing Netherlands' Quinty Roeffen, and after winning the first set, loses the second one. The third set, though, goes the Indian's way and she now needs just one more set to clinch the tie.

The British quartet of Lauren Henry, Hannah Scott, Lola Anderson and Georgina Brayshaw claims♈ the gold medal in the women's quad sculls event of the Paris Olympics 2024. They cross the finish line first with a time of 6:16.31, narrowly beating the Netherlands, who take silver with 6:16.46. Germany, making a late surge, claim 🗹bronze with a time of 6:19.70.

Second win in less than an hour for Deepika Kumari. She closes out her match against Netherlands' Quinty Roeffen by a 6-2 margin to surge into the 🌱women's individual round of 16. The Indian veteran ends with just three 10s in her 12 arrows in that victory, so she is still not in top form. But it's a win 🌜nevertheless, and she needs two more to enter medal contention in Paris.

Alex Yee of Great Britain wins the gold in thrilling fashion in the men's triathlon, overtaking New Zealand's Hayden Wilde in the final stretch by six seconds. With this result, Yee becomes the only🌊 athlete to win both the individuaඣl and mixed relay triathlon at the Olympics.

Anush Agarwalla made history, earlier 🧔today by becoming the first Indian to compete at the dressage event of the Olympic Games. But he will not progress further in the competition. The 24-year-old finished ninth in his group in the Grand Prix Individual, astride Sir Caramello Old, with a score of  66.444. Only the top two athletes from each group, plus the six athletes with the next best scores will qualify to the Individual final🦩, and Anush will not be one of them.

Both of India's women's singles TT players at Paris 2024 - Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula - will step into the table tennis arena fo🦩r their respective pre-quarter-finals. ཧBatra will face Japan's Miu Hirano at around 8:30pm IST, while birthday girl Sreeja meets Chinese world number one Sun Yingsha at 12:30am IST (past midnight). This will be Sreeja's second match of the day, as she beat Singapore's Jian Zeng earlier in the round of 32.

China's Deng Yawen claims the women's par♎k gold in the BMX freestyle event. She scores 92.60 to finish on top, ahead of Perris Benegas of the USA, who was fourth in Tokyo. Australia's Natalya Diehm takes the bronze. These are the first medals for C🦩hina and Australia in this event.

Jamaica's star sprinter Shericka Jackson has confirmed that she will not participate in the 100m race at Paris Olympics. Jackson, who won bronze in this event at Tokyo 2020 and silver at the 2023 world championships, will be replaced by Shashalee Forbe🅠s, who finished fourth at the Jamaican trials. Confirmation is awaited on whether Jackson will still race in the women's 200m or be a part of Jamaica's relay teams for the Games.

Nova♏k Djokovic has won his men's singles match against Dominik Koepfer of Germany in straight sets (7-5, 6-3), as has Stefanos Tsitsipas against Argentina's Sebastian Baez (7-💦5, 6-1). Both men now progress to the quarter-finals, but they'll have to wait to find out their opponents as a lot more action is slated at Roland Garros today.

Argentina's Jose Torres Gil has scripted history with his gold-winning performance in the BMX freestyle men's pa💯rk final. Torres Gil has won the first individual medal in cycling for his country, and also the first medal of the Paris 2024 Games for Argentina. It is also the nation's first gold in any sport since Rio 2016, and the first gold medal for an athlete representing a South American country at the Paris Summer Olympics.

World champion Kiera🐻n Reilly gets silver, and Anthony 🌱Jeanjean of hosts France takes bronze.

Batra loses 6-11, 9-11, 14-12, 8-11, 6-11 to Miu Hirano, who came in this match as a higher-🅘ranked opponent. With this Batra's Paris Olympic 2024 campaign comes to an end.

India's veteran archer, 40 years old age, Tarundeep Rai is competing in the men's singles event against Great Britain's Tom Hall.

Indian tabl✃e tennis player Sreeja Akula lost 0-4 to world number one Yingsha Sun of China in the pre-quarterfinals of the women's singles competition at the Paris Olympics on Wednesday. The Indian number one Sreeja went down 10-12 10-12 8-11 3-11 in 38 minutes, hours after becoming only the second Indian table tennis player to reach the round ওof 16 at the Olympics.

India’s Nishant Dev entered the quarterfinals of the 71kg men’s boxing competition, defeating Jose Gabriel R♋odriguez Tenorio of Ecuador at the Paris Olympics on Wednesday. Dev won the contest 3-2 via a split decision.

20-year-old newcomer Oka Shinnosuke of ♊Japan won the gold medal with Zhang Boheng of the People's Republic of China claiming silver. 2017 world champion Xiao Ruoteng of Chiꦅna clinched bronze.
