Birmingham will host the 2027 edition of the Kho Kho World Cup. The announcement was made by Kho Kho Federation of India president Sudhanshu Mittal after the successful conclusion of the first-ever Kho Kho World Cup, at New Delhi's Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. (More Sports News)
The inaugural edition of the World Cup concluded on Sunday, January 19 with the Indian team lifting the trophy in both the men’s ⛄and women’s categories. The World Cup winning captains, Pratik Waikar and Priyanka Ingle, expressed their feelings and emotions on the victory at a subsequeﷺnt press conference.
Meanwhile, Mittal said, “Kho Kho World Cup 2025 was a huge success. We are delighted to an♊nounce that the next kho kho World Cup will be held in Birmingham, England in 2026-2027. We will be more than happy to see the second edition become bigger than the first one and surpass all expectations.”
He added, “The next congress session of the International Kho Kho Federation will also take place on April 17, where the strategy for the next four years will be discussed and formali🐼sed.”
While announcing the venue for the next Kho Kho World Cup, Mittal said that various dignitaries congratulated him for the succe🌟ss of the World Cup, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal.
