The 29-year-old, who clinched the 100m bronze in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games last summer, faces꧟ charges of battery, resisting an off🍸icer and breach of peace.
Kerley, in aไn “aggressive demeanour” approachedꦇ the officials while they were investigating another incident over a concern about his car.
A police report, according to the Guardian, said that Kerley "continued to resist officers and used evasive movemen♑ts to avoid being arrested" befor🔜e being taken down to the ground by four officials.
Kerley was taꦕken to a local hosp📖ital after he was stunned with a Taser, and then to the Miami-Dade County jail.
The police body cam v💟ideo also shows Kerley up on his✱ feet before being tasered before being taken into custody.
Along with a bronze in Paris, Kerley also clinched 100m silver at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and won gold at the World Championshiౠps ♛in 2022.
He also has won world 4x100m and 4x400m gold medals, and also 💃has recorded the sixth-fastest 100m time with 9.76 seconds.
